Social Media Specialist

Decode-M is actively looking for a Social Media Specialist a/k/a Culture Momentum Master – An authority on all things cultural (e.g., fashion, music, beauty, celebrities, social media, etc); a “social medium” – someone who not only knows what’s UP, and what’s DOWN, but can predict (and influence) what’s NEXT.  You’ll be the social glue that keeps Decode_M and its partners ahead of the curve.  You’ll use our Momentum platform to become a social igniter.

A natural curiosity, an eagerness to dive into the deep end, and a hunger to learn and grow while having a blast will be essential to your success. Expect to learn a lot about cool companies, new products, and the latest in trends, analytics, and social platforms. 

Successful candidates will be familiar with the primary social media platforms and have some experience in managing them, know who the influencers in the space are, have excellent multitasking skills, a creative way of thinking, brand understanding, and be comfortable presenting ideas and results to both clients and internal teams.

This position is in-person based in midtown Manhattan, NYC. 

What You'll Do:

● Manage the creation of social media strategies, and the planning and execution of successful social media and influencer campaigns using our Momentum drivers to keep us socially relevant

● Identify appropriate social platforms; Create actionable plans to both grow and maintain followers through popular social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube and LinkedIn

● You will research new social marketing platforms and adopt new ones based on business needs,

● Ensure progress on all platforms by using analytical tools such as Google Analytics and others

● Work alongside the Data Science team and use our social listening tools to identify and build an understanding of our clients’/prospects’ target audiences and trends

● Align objectives for campaigns considering traffic, brand awareness, customer retention, online reputation, leads or sales as a starting point

● Analyze the end of campaign performance, and identifying successes and areas for improvement

● Work with clients to define the right approach for influencers to meet the set objectives. Identify and liaise with relevant influencers

● Effectively manage client campaigns, ensuring they’re delivered on time, to a high standard; communicating with social influencers and platform partners

● Ensure brand consistency in copy through tone, voice and terminology

● Identify and buy drops to keep the company on the leading edge

Skills/Qualifications

● You’ll have 1-3 years social media and/or influencer marketing experience

● Experience in using multiple social media platforms and a curated  network of influencers

● Ability to deliver creative content ideas

● Familiarity with online marketing strategies and channels

● Paid social knowledge is beneficial, but not essential

● Ability to grasp future trends in digital technologies and act proactively

● Maintains excellent writing and language skills

● Multitasking and analytics skills

● Strong presentation and speaking skills

● Organized (you’ll work on multiple projects at once), with high attention to detail
